Terms of Use
Plain-language rules for using OneDocument. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance
By installing or using OneDocument you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you use the app for an organisation, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it.
2. Using the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on your devices. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile (except where the law allows it), resell, rent or misuse the app, to bypass its Pro, ad or security controls, or to use it for anything unlawful or harmful.
3. Your files
Your files stay yours and stay on your device. You are responsible for the files you open, scan, convert, sign, edit or share, and you confirm you have the right to do so. The password tools are for adding protection to your own files and for opening files you are allowed to open; do not use them to access documents you have no right to. Electronic signatures created in the app are images placed on a document: they are not certified digital signatures and may not meet legal requirements for every contract. Keep backups: we are not responsible for lost, overwritten or changed files.
4. Features and accuracy
Scanning, text recognition (OCR), conversions and page tools are best-effort. Word and Excel conversion keeps text, basic styling, lists, tables and pictures but not always the exact original layout, and recognised text can contain mistakes. Please check the result before you rely on it. Features, languages and supported file types can change.
5. Pro and purchases
OneDocument Pro is offered through Google Play as a weekly or six-month subscription and as a one-time lifetime unlock. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play (Play Store > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions, or Settings > Manage subscription in the app). Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period to avoid the next charge.
- A free trial or introductory price, if offered, is shown on the plan before you subscribe and converts to the regular price when it ends unless you cancel.
- Billing, cancellation and refunds follow Google Play’s rules and your local consumer law. We cannot issue refunds for Google Play purchases ourselves; request them from Google Play.
- The lifetime unlock lasts for the life of the app on your Google account; it is not tied to a single device. If we stop offering Pro we will tell you in the app first.
- Pro status is checked with Google Play. A subscription keeps working offline for a short grace period after the last successful check.
- Which tools are Pro can change over time. Features and prices may change.
6. Ads and third-party content
The free version shows ads, and the optional launcher can show news and weather from third parties. Ads and linked websites are provided by third parties; we are not responsible for them, for their content, or for what you do after you open them. Never enter sensitive information on a site you opened from an ad unless you trust it.
7. Launcher, after-call screen and permissions
The launcher (home screen), the after-call screen, the quick-access notification and the permissions behind them are optional. You can switch them off in the app or in Android settings and the core document tools keep working. If you make OneDocument your default home app you can change it back at any time in Android settings.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its design, name, logo and content belong to its developer and its licensors. Open-source components remain under their own licences. You may not use our name or logo without permission.
9. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and uninterrupted use. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits or interrupted use, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be excluded.
10. Changes and ending use
We may update the app or these terms and we may stop offering a feature. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend access if these terms are broken.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where you live, to the extent mandatory consumer protections require it, and otherwise by the laws of the developer’s place of business. Disputes should first be raised with us so we can try to solve them.
