Delete your data
OneDocument has no account, so there is no profile to delete. Here is what exists, where, and how to remove it.
1. Data on your device (you control it)
Your files, recent-files list, favourites, signatures, settings, launcher layout and Pro status are stored only on your phone. To remove them:
- Inside the app: Settings > Clear history forgets the list of files you created (the files themselves stay in Documents/OneDocument; delete those in your file manager).
- Everything at once: Android Settings > Apps > OneDocument > Storage > Clear data, or uninstall the app.
Your documents are never uploaded, so we cannot see or delete them.
2. Data held by Google services on our behalf
The app sends anonymous technical data (usage events, crash reports, performance timings) to Google Firebase and uses your Android advertising ID for ads. This data is tied to an anonymous app-instance ID or your advertising ID, not to your name or e-mail address, because the app does not have them. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
- Stop new data: uninstall the app, or turn off ad personalisation and delete your advertising ID in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads. In the EEA, the UK and some US states you can also change your choice under Settings > Ad privacy options in the app.
- Reset the app-instance ID: clearing the app’s data or reinstalling creates a new anonymous ID; the old one is no longer linked to your device.
- Ask us to delete: write to paypal@rtbdemand.com with the subject “OneDocument data deletion request”. So that we can find the right records, tell us your Android advertising ID (Settings > Google > Ads shows it) and, if you can, the date you used the app. We will confirm, delete or anonymise the Firebase data we can link to that ID and tell you when done, within 30 days.
Notification service. If you allowed notifications, a notification service run for us holds a record for your device: the Firebase notification token, a device ID (the Android ID of your device for this app), the app version, language, time zone, Pro yes/no, your notification choices and a few counts (see Notifications from OneDocument). To stop new data: turn notifications off in Settings > Notifications or in Android settings, or uninstall the app (the token then stops working). Fastest way: open Settings > Notifications in the app and tap Delete my notification data. This asks the notification service to remove the device record together with its message history and counts, deletes the notification token on the device, clears the counters and streak kept on the device, and turns notifications off until you switch them on again. If you cannot use the app, write to us as below and include the device ID shown at the bottom of Settings > Notifications (tap Copy); we confirm when it is deleted, within 30 days. Some versions of the app do not show the device ID: the in-app button is then the way to delete the record, and if you write to us we will help you identify it another way (for example from the dates you used the app and your device model), which may not always be possible.
3. What is deleted automatically
- Crashlytics crash reports: after 90 days.
- Notification service: message and event records after 90 days, the request log after 7 days, and the device record 30 days after Google reports its token invalid (for example after an uninstall).
- Google Analytics event-level data: after a limited period of at most 14 months.
- E-mails you send us: deleted once your request is answered and legal duties are met.
4. Purchases and ads
Purchase records belong to Google Play; manage or delete them from your Google account (myaccount.google.com). Ads data is controlled by Google under its own policy (how Google uses data in ads).
